Hartlepool United goalkeeper Scott Flinders will start the game with Yeovil this weekend, despite carrying both shoulder and leg injuries.
Chris Turner revealed that Flinders hadn’t trained in the run up to last weekend’s game with Southend and he has continued to sit out training this week ”We are just having to monitor him closely at the moment.
”He’s got a shoulder problem and a very minor strain on the back of his leg which could turn into a problem. We are obviously wary of that and he is under treatment from the physios.” he told the Echo.
Flinders, a summer signing from Crystal Palace, has been in fine form so far this season and was recently voted player of the season so far by fans.

Rather worrying, all the reports suggested he was off form on Saturday.
the way he played on saturday you think he was crippled
dropped and flapped all day

Always said you shouldnt play someone carry any injuries-they dont do themselves or the team any justice whatsoever-id rather have a fit cook in the side for a few games,if it meant having a ffuly fit flinders back after 2/3 weeks of rest and recuperation-will also give cook his big chance-may or may not take it to prove himself as an adequate backup-or not. whatever the case dont ever play a half fit player-spells trouble
