Former Pools Pair On Trial At Darlington

Former Hartlepool United pair Paul Arnison and Darren Williams have joined rivals Darlington on trial with a view to joining the club permanently.

The full-backs have both been training with Colin Todd’s team this week and should feature in the friendly match against Sunderland tonight.

Arnison was a popular figure during his stay at Victoria Park, he left to join Carlisle and later moved to Bradford. He still has a year to run on his contract at Valley Parade but is eager to leave for first team football.

Williams spent two seasons at Victoria Park after being brought to the club by Martin Scott. He made 43 appearances as the club were relegated to League Two and was released at the end of his contract after being deemed surplus to requirements by Danny Wilson.
