This time it’s Yuilly’s turn to answer our questions.

Birthplace
This`ll give you all a laugh…Park Side Hospital, Middlesbrough.

Schools
Primary school in Redcar, secondary in Saltburn, college in Guisborough?? disgraceful I know.

Exiled In
In theory, exiled all my life, first in Redcar, now in Manchester.

AFTER THE LAST ANSWERS, WHY THE HELL AM I A POOLIE?!!
All my family has come from Hartlepool, not directly related to the house-builders, but distantly. Always went to see me Nana, my first experience was the last 10 mins of Pools-Tranmere in 1986. 50 games by my 9th birthday, plus all my mates were Boro fans, absolutely unbearable.

Occupation
Buildings Insurance Surveyor

Marriage Status
Single

Favourite Food
A good hot curry, preferably a prawn Jalfrezi (they`re like fire in Manchester!). any form of meat dish, mixed grill is ideal of course.

Music Tastes
Mostly Indie (Maximo Park & Arctic Monkeys) but don`t mind a bit of R`n`B & dance, depends on the mood really.

Hobbies
Cricket, snooker when I get the chance, going out on the tiles, writing.

Favourite Current Pools Player
Was Richie H, now his replacement Bob Monkhouse.

Best Ever Match
11th May 1991 – Promotion from division 4, beating Northampton 3-1. nearly 9,000 of us in there, and Baker`s volley/lob was to die for. Cardiff was the biggest single event, Daly`s header – I nearly fell into the dugout from all the bouncing; who knew the ‘big` guy brought so much joy? Was one of the last few in there with my dad & brother, cried buckets. The survival at Feethams, Joe Joe Joe Allon coming back to save us (and Mickey Brown`s lush free kick) fills my top three.

Most Disappointing Game
Getting panned by the Darloids and Dougie Freedman 4-0 at Feethams in 1992.

Favourite Pools Player Of All Time
I started out as a winger so Dalton and Jackie Honour stand out, Richie H. (Mr. Indestructible) but the ultimate hero (resulting in me wearing number 7 for every side I played for), JOE JOE JOE ALLON!

Best Thing About Supporting Pools
The never-ending thoughts of “if`s” and “buts”. For example, last season. If we had put away all those missed penalties early on and picked up comfy points, would we have gone on the surge we did to clinch promotion? PROBABLY NOT. But then again, look at the last few games, the odd draw here and here culminating in the final game blow-up. THE SHEER JOY OF THE POOLS, FOREVER NERVE-FRAUGHT.

Also the banter that I`ve got down here over the last 6 years off people at uni from all corners of the country and further; the pools are well known amongst many now. Half the people doing geography didn`t even know where it was!! Typical.

Favourite Season
The promotion seasons have all been good – especially my first (90/`91). The last years have all been magic for one reason – we`ve always been involved in some way. Thee play-off semi defeats, promotion, play-off semi, play-off final, relegation, promotion. WHAT MORE COULD A FAN ASK FOR IN TERMS OF ENTERTAINMENT AND A GOOD FULL SEASON OF MEANINGFUL FOOTBALL!

Hopes For Next Season
Here`s hoping for a rapid start, a consolidation of points early doors. Antwi`s signing is very shrewd but seeing Kerrea Gilbert going to Southend is a bit annoying. According to Dunfermiline, McCunnie isn`t the greatest full back, not by a long chalk!! Check it out guys I`m telling you Micky Barron should have that no. 2 shirt.

Hopefully see some of you at the away games near me and a few home games. Yuilly.
