One of Pools new signings has declared he wants to play centre back. Robbie Elliott had been expected to challenge for the left back slot but he has other plans.
Elliott may prefer a central position but is willing to play anywhere for his new side ‘I would probably say centre-half is my preferred choice but I’m not going to turn down a position in the side. I’d be stupid.’
He told The Northern Echo that he doen’t expect to walk straight into the team ‘I’m not thinking I am just going to walk into the side. But I am going to give everything in pre-season and see how we go.’
I think that Elliot will have to put up with a left back position unless we havea major injury crisis.
