Vital Hartlepool Transfer Talk

Hartlepool United expect negotiations with goalkeeping target Dimitrios Konstantopoulos to successfully conclude and believe that the player will sign for the club soon.

HUFC have been in negotiations with Coventry City about a possible deal and talks are going well. Konstantopoulos is eager to rejoin the side he left 2 years ago after an unhappy spell at the Ricoh Arena.

The player would join on a one-year loan deal before joining the club permanently when his contract expires next season. Dimi’s high wages at Coventry have proved a stumbling block but most of the deal has now been ironed out.

Chris Turner admitted to the Mail that talks are going slowly but he’s confident a deal can be done ”Things are progressing but they are just a bit frustrating. It is all about getting everything together with players and agents but we will have everyone in by July 1.”
