Hartlepool United returned to the foot of League One after another blank in front of goal.
Report
Hartlepool United returned to the bottom of the League One table after a home draw with Walsall.

The result, combined with Portsmouth’s 2-0 win at Coventry, leaves Pools back at the foot of the table with six games remaining.

Nicky Featherstone and Febian Brandy had early chances for the visitors while Steve Howard had two headers saved at the other end.

Pools failed to create any real chances in the second period while both Brandy substitute Ashley Hemmings failed to capitalise on chances for Walsall.

After failing to score again this afternoon Pools have now gone six full games without a goal and haven’t scored in the entire month of March.

FT: Hartlepool 0 Walsall 0
