Former Hartlepool United striker Adam Boyd made his first appearance for new club Lincoln City on Saturday.

Boyd was a substitute for the Red Imps’ trip to Tamworth in the FA Trophy and came off the bench for the final ten minutes of the game at The Lamb Ground.

Lincoln crashed out of the competition with a 3-1 defeat, despite taking an early lead in the game with a drilled strike by fellow former Poolie Alan Power.

Colin Larkin also started the game for Lincoln but was helpless to prevent a second half hat-trick from Tamworth midfielder Marcus Kelly sending the home side through to the next round.
