Former Hartlepool United striker Adam Boyd has been linked with a moce to Northern League side Spennymoor Town after his release from Lincoln City.

The 30-year-old had been on a short-term contract with Conference side Lincoln but was released last week after being told he wasn’t in manager David Holdsworth’s plans.

Now Boyd is attracting interest from Northern League side Spennymoor, who are keen to capitalise on the player’s reluctance to move from his North East home.

Conference side Gateshead are also monitoring the player, who spent three months at Northern League with Celtic Nation earlier this season before leaving by ‘mutual consent’.
