Hartlepool United won their third successive game after beating Crewe at Victoria Park.Hartlepool United’s excellent run of form continued with a comfortable win over Crewe at Victoria Park this evening.
Pools were unchanged for the seventh successive game and took the lead through Middlesbrough loanee Charlie Wyke inside half an hour.
Jonathan Franks added a second before the half time break with his second strike in as many matches before Andy Monkhouse rounded off the victory with an injury time third.
Unfortunately for Pools relegation rivals Bury, Scunthorpe and Colchester also picked up 3 points but, with Oldham in FA Cup action, Pools moved to within 6 points of safety.
