The amazing run that Hartlepool went on to get out of the bottom two has now seen us suffered back-to-back defeats following the setback at York, with that one-nil win all but securing them of another season in League 2.

It leaves us with a job to be done but we do, even after this one-nil defeat at Bootham Crescent, remain just outside of the relegation zone by a point thanks so further slip ups by Tranmere and bottom placed Cheltenham.

This win was achieved by York despite going down to 10-men before half time!

Featherstone and Coulson exchanged first half efforts, but neither could make the breakthrough and the sides went off level at the break…. But not in terms of personnel as Winfield was sent off in the first half.

The 10-men of York won, to extend their unbeaten run to five-matches and leave them nine-points clear of the drop zone, when Summerfield’s (67) 30-yard effort was deflected past Flinders at the midway point of the second half.

Survival is still in our own hands but we could do with another reaction, and fast as we’ll not be able to lose too many, if any, more this season if we are to stay up!
