It’s that time again for bert lynch! Hartlepool’s defeat at Crawley means the worry beads are out once again.

These views – which couldn’t be added until now – were shared prior to the news Craig Hignett and Hartlepool had decided to part company with Pools – it seemed – heading in one direction under Colin Cooper’s former assistant.

This is what bert said…

“There might be more outgoings than the two we have seen so far,” said the manager. Mistake, mistake, mistake, quality, quality, quality, the same old words.

Well we can’t keep a clean sheet. We have sold two defenders there may be more on the way out and we need experience. The bottom of the league is getting ever closer. We have no cover at centre half and the midfield/attack have had no goals in the majority of the last ten games. So our main hope is that the teams below continue to lose as many as we do and only get a point a game.

We clearly got money for the two players who left so we need to invest in some experience. It makes me laugh that we need to be looking up the table when we are clearly not performing to any standard and the fear is the sharks below us, who will soon overtake us.

Spend some money now to address the problem areas or accept Craig hasn’t got the answers and move on.

You Pools.
