Hartlepool United assistant manager Colin West has made sure his reserve team players know of his disappointment following their defeat against Rotherham last night.

West’s side were previously unbeaten this season but a poor performance saw them beaten 4-2 by the Millers ”Before they went out, I said we had a few players on Saturday who were a bit below par to their and our standards.

”There was an opportunity for some lads last night. But they haven’t really knocked a door down.”
he told the Mail.

He went on to say that they would have to put in much better performances if they were to break into the first team ”I did say three or four weeks ago that we need to be more aggressive and more determined to get the ball in the back of the net.

”To be fair to them, they have done that. But last night, we let a game slip by through weak defending and not putting the ball in the net when we have had chances.”
