First half was all pools! There were only two times Dons looked like they could score, that was through poor defending from corners, and I think even then that was more worry than actual chances! We had a couple of little chances but our biggest and most spectacular chance was a Walker chest down and volley from 30ish yards saved from the keeper! Then, some more confident good football lead the ball to James who tucked the ball away neatly to continue the start of another goalscoring run!

2nd half is a different story. Harewood, who was ineffective first half, came to life and had a good chance for 2-0. The big man latched on to the ball and a mix of pace and muscle took him towards goal only for him to sky it and scrape the bar! It went downhill from there, we looked unsteady. Then a Dons free kick was looped into the box where Flinders was doing the okey kokey which led to panic and in turn an undeserved Dons goal. Then not long after their striker got the ball with back to goal on the edge of the box, and turned under no real pressure (from burgess I think) to finish the ball!

The minutes after the Dons keeper was forced to make some good saves but those were from speculative shots trying to force a goal.

Mentions to Walton who was outstanding! Made every tackle, lost the ball once for him to then win it back on the spot! James ran his socks off too and looks handy with Marlon there!

The Dons 18 I think it was deserves a mention too, he was very dangerous with his pace and trickery!

To sum it up we probably deserved the win just from our Brazil like first half show! A draw wouldn’t have been unjust! But a loss we didn’t deserve, BUT we’re HUFC nothing’s ever easy.
