Even though we won on Monday we’re still involved in the League 2 relegation battle.

We’ll be without Simon Walton for these remaining two games at his former club Plymouth Argyle and the season finale at the Vic against Exeter City following his sending off in the win over Morecambe.

Hartlepool appealed his sending off earlier this week but the Football Association have turn this down, so we’ll not see Walton in action again until next season when we are into our third game of the 2014/2015 season.

Walton will serve a four match suspension, the mandatory three for his dismissal plus an extra for this being his second red card of the season after his sending off against Oxford last month so two of these will be carried over into next season.

All being well, and I think it will now, the games he’s suspended for this season won’t make too much difference and the ones he misses next season will be with us still in League 2.
