To be played

Monday 5th December 2016 – FA Cup, Second Round
Lincoln City v Oldham Athletic 19:45

Macclesfield kicked-off off the second round action looking to cause an upset against Michael Appleton’s League 1 Oxford but as the deadlock couldn’t be broken these sides will try again in a Kassam Stadium replay.

Blackpool and Luton both had home ties against non-league sides, which could have been banana skins. However, Pools saw off Brackley Town with a narrow 1-0 win at Bloomfield Road with it a little more comfortable for Luton. The Hatters ran out 6-2 victors over Solihull Moors at Kenilworth Road.

League 2 promotion-chasing Wycombe won handsomely 5-0 at League 1 strugglers Chesterfield but the big upset on Saturday saw non-league side Sutton United knock out Cheltenham after a 2-1 win.

Sunday was an afternoon packed with goals, no less than seven of them came at Curzon Ashton. The non-league side were eventually beaten 4-3 by AFC Wimbledon.

Promotion-chasing League 1 duo Bolton and Sheffield United met at the Macron Stadium with the Trotters edging out the Blades by the odd goal in five, both would swap this win for promotion I’m sure but an FA Cup run is always welcomed.

We witnessed a major upset at the Memorial Stadium though when Bristol Rovers were beaten 2-1 by Barrow. The Cambridge win again Coventry would also be classed as an upset despite the fact the Sky Blues are struggling in League 1, the U’s ran out 4-0 winners at the Abbey Stadium.

Non-league sides Eastleigh and FC Halifax Town will take a place in the third round draw, a replay will determine the winners after this ended 3-3 with Millwall avoiding an upset at the Den against Braintree Town. The Lions were three two up at half time, having come from behind to eventually go through after a 5-2 win.

The third round draw will be made prior to Oldham trip to Lincoln as the Latics look to avoid an FA Cup upset, something they’ve been known for producing themselves over the years.
