The votes in the Vital Hartlepool Awards 2010 have been counted and verified and it’s not time to reveal our first winner.
This award goes to the player you thought was Pools best signing of the past 12 months, only four players received votes and the winner was a player who’s goals kept Pools up.
Roy O’Donovan 73%
Scott Flinders 16%
Neil Austin 10%
Adam Boyd 1%
So, with nearly three quarters of the vote, Roy O’Donovan wins our award for signing of the season. His loan spell from Sunderland saw him grab 9 goals in 13 games.

Quite a clear choice and we could do with saying a big thank you to him for his goals. Flinders and Austin are great signings as well though. Both are a class above.
