Last summer wasn’t the most exciting of times to be a Hartlepool United supporter, there was little movement in the transfer window and little hope ahead of the season.

However, the players brought in all played their part in a successful season at the Vic, and our next Vital Hartlepool Award is for the best permanent signing of the 2010/11 campaign.

It was a close run battle with just a handful of votes in it, but our award goes to Evan Horwood. The left back impressed all season and formed a good partnership with Andy Monkhouse, he pipped midfield general Paul Murray to the prize.

Evan Horwood 49%
Paul Murray 48%
Andy Rafferty 3%
