Hartlepool secured a win over Cheltenham in League 2 on Saturday.
After losing ‘keeper Carson to injury, having flown back from being on the bench for Northern Ireland on Friday night, Hartlepool took the lead deep into first half injury-time when Alessandra curled home an effort that went in off Cheltenham’s Downes.
The win, a first at home this season in the league and since 16th April, Alessandra’s freekick was finished off by Bates with 11-minutes to play.
