Hartlepool secured a win over Accrington in League 2 on Tuesday.

Two second half goals, in the closing half an hour, were enough to give Hartlepool a 2-0 win over Accrington to make it successive home wins for Pools.

A chance to go ahead came Hartlepool’s way when a penalty was awarded, with Accrington’s Mark Hughes also sent off, with Nicky Deverdics scoring following Elliot Parish’s initial save from Padraig Amond’s effort.

Pools rounded off the win in injury-time when Lewis Alessandra finished of an Amond cross.
