Hartlepool were beaten by Barnet in League 2 on Saturday.
Thomas’ effort had Hartlepool ahead on the half hour mark with the lead doubled when he then set up Amond early in the second half to leave Barnet with it all to do.
Midway through the second half Donnelly was sent off for a foul on Akinde, who converted the resulting spot kick to get Barnet back into the match.
Barnet levelled when a Gambin cross went all the way for a goal with the Bees completing a comeback when Batt came off the bench for the winner three-minutes later.
