Turner Wants Repeat Performance Against Hudds

Hartlepool United’s Chris Turner has said that his side need to repeat their performance against Leeds in the upcoming game with Huddersfield.

Pools have a free weekend this week thanks to Southampton’s FA Cup exploits but face a tricky fixture when Huddersfield visit the Vic the week after.

”We showed on Saturday that we can play attractive entertaining football. This season is about building a platform and finishing wherever we can in this division.” Turner told the Mail.

”I can certainly see the makings of a good side developing again. And a result and performance like that might be something which triggers in the players’ heads about belief and confidence.”

He went on to say that he wants a similar performance against promotion chasing Huddersfield ”I genuinely believe that we’ve got the makings of a good side here. Hopefully we can repeat that performance against Huddersfield.”
