After Hartlepool’s 1-0 defeat against Swindon yesterday, Chris Turner has refused to admit that Pools were poor, instead blaming a lack of luck on the defeat.

”Everybody has to remain positive, stick together and make sure we grind out the results we require. We¬†all need to get behind the team and ensure we get the points to stay in the division.” Turner said in his post match comments to the official site.

Turner was left rue what might have been after 2 shots cannoned off the woodwork – a familiar sentence of this drab season ”Antony Sweeney hit the crossbar in the last minute of the first half and then James Brown hit the post near the end; I think that summed the afternoon up.

”It was a very frustrating afternoon. There were very few chances for either side and I think they scored with the one that they created today.”
he added.

Which game where you at ?

cant believe the sh…. thats coming out of your mouth

  • Can anybody remember such a poor display in the history of Pools ? Another thing , When monkhouse was obviously injured , why did Turner not bring a sub on straight away instead of playing 10 mins with 10 men ? He’d just come back on the pitch when Swindon scored . Would also like to hear any thoughts on “Collins and Gamble ? .
