Turner: ‘He’s a Talented Goalkeeper’

Hartlepool Director Of Sport Chris Turner has admitted he is delighted wil todays signing of ex Coventry keeper Arran Lee-Barrett.

The former League Cup winner told the official website that Pools has fought hard to capture their mane ‘To get Arran’s signature we’ve have had to sell the Club very well as he had received offers from other Clubs in the South of England and in higher divisions to the one we’re going in to.’

The goalkeeper will no doubt challenge for the first team shirt after Turner told the website how quickly pools grabbed the former Norwich player ‘We’re delighted that IOR and the Chairman Ken Hodcroft have allowed us to make our move for Arran so quickly.

Turner however appreciates that the goalkeeper hasn’t played a lot of games in his career ‘We realise that he has not had a great deal of Football League experience but he has great ability and it’s a good opportunity for Arran and for us.

‘He’s got a real presence, commands his area very well and will certainly enhance the goalkeeping department at the Club.’
