Hartlepool are looking to keep their good defensive form in tact as they look to extend an unbeaten run against Newport County tomorrow.

The Pools go in search of a third successive cleansheet at Victoria Park on Saturday afternoon in their latest league two game.

Michael Duckworth, out since New Year’s Day, could return after recovering from a double hernia operation. However as he’s only just returned to training it could be a game too soon for him.

Injury looks likely to keep Neil Austin out again though so Jordan Richards will keep his place in the starting XI.

Survival is the priority but with Hartlepool nine points off the play-offs if they can get another win, to give them back to back wins for the first time since November, they might get back into contention?
