Peter Taylor reflected on yesterdays draw with Pools and asked whether or not his side gained a point or lost a point.

However his main disappointment was reserved for his defence who actually held very firm. He insisted that he is disappointed at the amount of goals his side is conceding.

”Was it three points lost or one gained? I was really pleased with a point, but we could have had three. I asked the players why we are not higher in the division and they all agreed it’s because we concede too many goals – again we haven’t got set up quickly enough from a set piece. It was poor defending and that’s why they levelled.”

Taylor added that he was pleased with the overall performance but was left scratching his head after they conceded from yet another set-piece thanks to Adam Boyd’s goal for Pools. ”It was a good performance, but we let in another very bad goal and I’m amazed we are not alert enough on set pieces from what has happened this season so far.”
