Hartlepool United have added another new face to the squad ahead of the new season after defender Steve Haslam signed for the club.
Haslam featured as a trialist in Pools friendly with Mansfield last weekend and has now signed a permanent contract with the club.
29-year-old Haslam is predominantly a right back but can play across the back 4, adding much needed defensive cover to the squad.
Chris Turner told the official site he was delighted with the signing ”I have seen him over a number of years and he is a very consistent player who can play in several positions which is vital at this level.”

Well done Steve. Welcome to Pools 😀
Not as exciting as some of the signings but hey, this is the way forward.
Good utility player. Good signing
Does what it says on the tin, we needed more defenders alas we have one
Good to have some backup.
Says on the official site that he’s been given squad number 16, but in the squad profiles Humphreys has number 16?
Yeah, not sure what the reasoning there is. Might be moving him to 16 to allow Haslam 3.
