Solano and Sweeney Near First Team Return

Hartlepool United have been boosted by news that Antony Sweeney and Nobby Solano are nearing a first team return.

The pair have missed Pools’ last few fixtures but could be in line for a return against Leyton Orient this weekend.

”Nobby is training – good news, Sweeney is training – good news. We do need them. Both are pretty near [to fitness] now, but Tony is a little bit behind Nobby.

”Nobby trained on Friday and did some fitness work at the weekend so he may be back into full training this week.” Mick Wadsworth told the Northern Echo.

The Pools boss went on to say that their return would be a welcome boost to his struggling side ”That would be good news because that quality we desperately need and have desperately lacked at times.

”Sweeney might be a little bit further behind but we’ll see.”
