Hartlepool United boss Martin Scott is at one with the Poolie faithful, speaking
to local newspaper the Northern Echo Scott admitted he understood how the Pools
fans were feeling and he shares our frustration. Scott said:

“There was some shouts from the crowd late on – but that was only frustration
and we are all frustrated to come away from a game we have dominated and lost.
I think the game showed exactly what we are missing – and that is goalscorers.

We all want a winning team. The fans were different class and got right
behind the lads. Only late on, when things were looking as if it was going against
us, they got frustrated, but they pay good money and are entitled to voice their
opinions.

I have no problem with that but I think that the honest, genuine supporters
out there felt we deserved to win that game.”

Scott though has a long way to come before becoming the darling of the terraces,
many fans now seem to have given up hope that the former Pools youth team boss
can turn things around at Victoria Park. The first chants of Scott out were
out during the Tamworth FA Cup defeat and again after the final whistle on Tuesday
night. Saturday’s home game with Bournemouth is looking more and more like a
make or break game for the Martin Scott / Steve Agnew managerial partnership.
