Hartlepool United welcome Notts County to Victoria Park tonight for our penultimate home game of the season. Will promotion secured Pools are now looking to tie up the League Two title, with a two point lead over second place Walsall Pools are aiming to increase the gap to five points come 9:30pm tonight.
Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson told the Northern Echo:
‘The players know me now and they know when I’m pleased with them or when I’m unhappy, but thankfully this season things have gone very well for us.
‘The pressure is still on because we want the title. The lads went back out and acknowledged the fans last week, they deserved that, but make no mistake they are focused on winning the title.’
Walsall striker Lawrie Dudfield said:
‘From start to finish we dictated the play against Walsall. Hartlepool will be tough and we need to dictate play because the performance against Walsall was probably our best for some time.
‘There’s nobody here who wants to just play out these last three games because who knows where three wins could take us.’

Michael Barron is back in contention after training successfully all week, he may return to right back at the expense of Darren Williams.
Striker Joel Porter was left out of Wednesday’s reserve team draw with Scunthorpe United which would suggest he may feature for longer tonight.
Player to watch: Richie Barker
Sir Richard of Barker has scored six goals in his last seven games and is League Two’s current leading scorer. Barker will be looking to notch again tonight to keep himself as the favorite to lift the divisions golden boot.

Austin McCann will play with a fractured nose but midfield duo Gary Silk and Jay Smith are serious injury concerns. At the time of writing neither look set to play against Pools.

League Two’s dirtiest player will be facing Michael Nelson and Ben Clark. Former Pineapple head Jason Lee has grabbed himself 16 goals this season, but his also managed to notch up an amazing 18 yellow cards.
