Hartlepool were due to be at Meadow Lane as the visitors to Notts County for the latest league match this weekend.

The game against Notts County, was set for a 3pm kick-off however, due to the weather conditions in recent days during the build up to the game, and the conditions on the day when the referee inspected the pitch, this match has now been postponed.

It isn’t the only League game today to fall foul of the ‘weather conditions’ and be postponed, as other matches across the football pyramid have also suffered the same fate, and been called off by the match day referee in charge of the game.

A new date for the fixture will be announced once it has been agreed between both clubs and ratified by the Football League.

Speaking to the Official Site following the postponement, a disappointed Ronnie Moore explained.

‘We`re really disappointed, to be honest. There was water on the pitch but I don’t know what work had gone in to clearing those areas because I don`t think there was a fork in sight. We can`t do anything about it of course – it`s off and we have to move on and now all we can do is make sure we`re fully focused on the three games we`ve got coming up at home. We`ll be in on Sunday to train as normal instead of the recovery session we had planned and we`ll build-up to Tuesday`s game and the start of what is a fantastic and massive week for us. We know what we have to do – we have to get out there and be bright and be positive so that`s what we`ll be asking of the players.’
