Ronnie Moore hadn’t hidden his desire to extend the loan spell of Andrew Boyce with the Official Website confirming this is now the case.

Following the Cambridge draw, which technically brought the end of his loan, and would have been his last game for the club Moore had said.

‘Boycey’s loan is up and hopefully it will all be sorted for him to stay here another month.

‘We’ve spoken to Scunthorpe and I hope everything will get sorted.

‘We’re pretty positive it will happen, we just need to speak to their chief exec.’

Confidence was well placed!

As those talks were successful as an extension was agreed with Scunthorpe meaning Boyce will remain at the Vic for another month at least, being able to feature against Yeovil this weekend, which takes him through until 31st October.

Injuries to Harry Worley and Matthew Bates had seen the 25-year-old come to Pools originally with Boyce making five appearances so far, starting most recently the late defeat to Exeter and the nil-nil draw with Cambridge last weekend.
