Hartlepool United Reserves extended their unbeaten start to the season as they eased to victory against Huddersfield last night.

Pools travelled to the Galpharm Stadium with 3 wins and a draw in their opening fixtures and they took the lead on 19 minutes after Julian Cherel’s first goal for the club as the big defender headed home from a Jonny Rowell corner.

Strikers Billy Greulich and Colin Larkin both had good chances as Pools looked to extend their lead. The win was wrapped up just after the hour mark when Greulich slotted home after keeper Greulich spilled an effort from Antony Sweeney.
