So Tuesday night’s League Cup second round tie away to Hull City went all the way through to penalties without a single goal, here’s the break down of the penalty shoot out which decided the game.

Hartlepool United
First penalty, Gary Liddle – saved by Myhill
Second penalty, Ben Clark – put over the cross bar
Third penalty, John Brackstone – scored
Fourth penalty, David Foley – scored
Fifth penalty, James Brown – saved by Myhill

Hull City
First penalty, Jon Parkin – scored
Second penalty, Stuart Elliot – saved by Konstantopoulos
Third penalty, Darryl Duffy – saved by Konstantopoulos
Fourth penalty, Craig Fagan – scored
Fifth penalty, Andy Dawson – scored

So once again Pools suffer from missed penalties and go out of the League Cup, gutted.
