Phil Brown Talks With Hartlepool Collapse

Phil Brown’s potential move to Hartlepool United is dead after talks between the two parties sensationally collapsed this afternoon.

Brown had apparently been on the brink of taking charge at the club where he spent seven years as a player between 1978 and 1985, but talks broke down this afternoon.

It is currently not known what caused the breakdown between Brown and HUFC.

Hartlepool United have since confirmed the appointment of Livingston manager John Hughes as the new first team coach at Victoria Park.
