The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Hartlepool United and Portsmouth this Saturday.

Hartlepool United host Portsmouth on Saturday April 1 for the game at Victoria Park and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Mark Brown
Linesmen: Michael Denton and Alf Greenwood
Fourth Official: Helen Byrne

Match Day referee Brown has officiated 12 games so far in 2016-17 and in those games he showed a total of 29 yellow cards with one red card.

His highest card count this year was seven yellows in the game between Bury and Swindon Town.

He took in 35 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 106 yellow cards and four red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Nottingham Forest and Birmingham on January 12 with six yellows and one red shown. He has shown six yellow cards in two games since then.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
