Notts County Sack Boss After Hartlepool Defeat

Defeat against Hartlepool, League One’s bottom side, has cost Notts County manager Keith Curle his job.

Curle’s men lost 2-1 at Victoria Park on Saturday and the play-off hopefuls were on a run of just two wins in 11 matches.

County chairman Ray Trew made the decision to sack Curle and his backroom staff – including former Pools assistant boss Colin West – following the result.

”I would like to thank Keith, as well as Colin Lee and Colin West for all of their hard work and effort over the past year, there have been plenty of highs to enjoy in that period but there comes a time when we, as a board, have to consider what we feel is best for the future of the club.” Trew told the Notts County official site.
