Hartlepool United midfielder Nathan Luscombe will not travel to the club’s pre-season training camp in Holland, with manager Neale Cooper still unhappy with the player’s poor fitness.

The midfielder joined Pools last summer but admitted he was overweight soon after joining the club, promising fans he would return to full fitness within “the next couple of weeks”.

Twelve months on and it appears Pools boss Neale Cooper’s patience with the former Sunderland youngster has finally came to an end.

After returning the club in December, Cooper warned the player about his future conduct, but the manager later admitted that he remained unhappy with Luscombe’s level of fitness.
