Anchorman Paul Murray has urged his team mates to tighten up their defence as they seek a return to winning ways.

Amidst a brilliant start to the season, Pools conceded the fewest in the

eague but that has now been abolished with half a dozen leaked in the last two games alone. Murray, 35, admits that Pools must stop that rot.

”We need to get back to not conceding. We’ve gone from one of the best defensive teams to shipping six goals in two games.” He told the Northern Echo.

He went on to add: ”And that’s not just the back four – it’s what happens in front as well, so everyone’s at fault.’I’m still not on top of my game as I’d like to be.

”If you ask a few of the lads I think they might say the same.”
Pools’ next chance to return to winning way arrives this weekend away to Chesterfield at the B2Net Stadium.
