Both Hartlepool and Morecambe had efforts cleared off the line but the all-important breakthrough was one that we secured with a much needed three-points secured at the Globe Arena on Saturday.

A first half own goal was enough to give us a one-nil win to give our Football League survival chances a boost, as they would say!

Tshibola and Jones could have scored for us before a long ball from Featherstone was turned into his own net by Parrish (35) to give us a half time lead.

We had the bar to think as this kept out an effort from Ellison as we collected a win that moves us to within six-points of League 2 safety. It’s still a big ask, as our goal-difference is so bad too so that’s worth another point against us, but all we can do is collected the points and see where it leads us!

Saturday was a three-points that we had to get without a doubt, after we did we’re looking for our MotM from this win? Let us know what you think with a vote in the poll to your right!
