Hartlepool United have announced that club captain Micky Barron has extended his stay at the club by signing a new contract.
The 32-year-old has been at the club since september 1996 during a loan spell from Middlesbrough. The deal became permenant in the following August and Barron went on to feature over 350 times in a pools shirt during his time here.
Barron celebrated his Testimonial last year in a game with Leeds United.
