Both Michael Mackay and David Foley started for their loan clubs this week but both failed to get on the scoresheet.
Mackay’s Gateshead lost 3-0 at Cambridge with the striker playing the full 90 minutes without scoring as the 10-men Heed side lost at the Abbey Stadium.
David Foley’s side fared better as Barrow beat Tamworth 1-0 with a late Jason Walker penalty. Foley played 83 minutes before being subbed.
Meanwhile, Matty Tymon made his fourth appearance for Whitby Town in their 1-1 draw with Kings Lynn. The striker played the full 90 minutes but is yet to score his first goal for the Seasiders.
