Hartlepool’s League 2 season continued with a defeat against Stevenage at Victoria Park on Tuesday.

Stevenage were ahead on half time when Tom Conlon scored with Conlon scoring again early in the second half to leave Hartlepool with an uphill task.

Billy Paynter, just past the midway point of the second half, had Pools back in the game and with hope but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation. He also had an effort cleared off the line by defeat leaves Hartlepool just outside the bottom two and only four-points from safety!

These were the other results.
