Hartlepool need win, and a string on them, so a point wouldn’t really have been enough at Bury but that would have been better than the late defeat that we ended up seeing! A goalless draw was looking likely at Gigg Lane but a late goal saw Bury win one-nil.

Woods gave Morgan a chance but his effort was easy for Bury ‘keeper Pope and a chance was lost with us thankful to Flinders who kept out a few efforts in either half.

A breakthrough finally came for Bury late on when Mayor got through, Flinders managed to knock the ball behind Hope but Tutte (75) was on hand to score the winner.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?

Select the name that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that person, and this latest game itself, with some views….
