Ronnie Moore has added Josh Laurent to the player squad following his release from Championship side Brentford.

The 20 year old 6ft 2incher was released by Brentford earlier today and Hartlepool have moved quickly to secure the midfielder’s services.

Having come through the ranks at Wycombe Wanderers – where he played alongside Jake Gray – he was spotted and picked up by Queens Park Rangers. A two month loan spell at Braintree followed before he moved to Griffin Park permanently last January.

He made his debut for them in the Capital One Cup game against Oxford United towards the start of this season and spent a four game loan spell out with Newport County.

The versatile player can play in defence or midfield.

He goes straight into the squad and is in contention to make his debut in this weekend’s game against Notts County.
