Jones: I’m Trying To Be Positive

Hartlepool United midfielder Ritchie Jones has said a new positive attitude will hopefully help him break into the Pools first team.

Jones impressed from the bench against Leeds last weekend and he said he’s desperate to regain his place ”The manager just told me to go right wing and be positive, and that’s what I did really.

”I don’t mind where I play, whether it’s in the middle or out wide, as long as I get on the pitch. I’m pleased with my contribution.”

He told the Echo that Chris Turner was looking to play good football I think it’s showing in our performances that we have changed round the way we play.

I don’t think the results had affected our confidence because we have been playing well. We’ve been getting the ball down and passing it, and all of the lads are comfortable with it. Nobody dropped their heads when they scored and we kept piling on the pressure and it worked out well for us in the end.”
