Nicky Featherstone’s performances for Hartlepool – in an otherwise miserable season so far – have been a highlight from Pools’ season.

However, he could soon become the latest player lured away from Victoria Park according to Sky Sports.

Featherstone has been linked with a possible Hartlepool exit this month with Bradford, Northampton and Doncaster reportedly expressing an interest in the 28 year old midfielder as per the Sky Sports understanding.

As he’s under contract for another 18 months there’s no immediate danger that Hartlepool risk losing Featherstone at a knockdown price but interest from League 2 leaders Doncaster could appeal. Bradford are challenging for promotion in League 1 with Northampton also playing at that level.

It was concluded any decision would be ‘dependant on the appointment’ of the next boss with Dave Jones’ name again mentioned in this report. However, it was also suggested Sam Collins’ latest caretaker spell could result in a permanent chance.
