Vital Hartlepool Transfer Talk

As the hunt for a new goalkeeper continues, Hartlepool United have been linked with a summer move for Luton Town’s Dean Brill.

Pools are without any senior goalkeepers after Arran Lee-Barrett and Jan Budtz were released yesterday and Brill is thought to be on Chris Turner’s list of summer targets.

23-year-old Brill looks set to leave Luton after their relegation from the Football League and the Mail reports the out of contract keeper would be eager to join up with Pools.

With the supposed signing of Dimi Konstantopoulos yet to become a reality Turner admitted he has narrowed his goalkeeping hunt down to just 3 players ”We’ve got three goalkeepers on our list and we’ll work through them one by one to see whose going to be coming.”

On the departing goalkeepers, he said that his reasons for releasing Budtz and Lee-Barrett were down to their performances and lack of support from the Victoria Park crowd ”Jan has had his problems as well so I think it’s best we get somebody new at the back.

”Because of problems Arran has had with the crowd over the season, I don’t think he felt comfortable here. That decision was quite easy for him and the club.”
he added.

  • quality goalkeeper. we beat them 4-0 last season but if it wasn’t for him, it could of been MUCH MUCH worse. Get him signed

  • His kicking was poor, But his shot stopping and commanding of his area was excellent
