Hartlepool United could be without Joel Porter for the crucial game at Crewe this weekend.
Porter picked up a groin strain in Pools win over Hereford last weekend and could miss the trip to Gresty Road this weekend.
”Joel picked up a slight groin strain against Hereford and we kept asking him in the second half whether he was alright to carry on
”We obviously don’t want him missing any longer than we have to.” Turner explained to the Mail.
With another game at home to Scunthorpe on Monday, Turner is keen to keep players as fresh as possible ”Some players will find it difficult to play two games in three days, especially if they pick up any knocks at Crewe.
”I am not a person who wants to make major changes at any time. On Saturday, we will have 11 fully fit players out there and we’ll have to look at it after that.
”Fresh legs will be a bonus for Monday and that is something we will look at on Sunday morning.”
