Hartlepool United Reserves continued their unbeaten start to the league season with a convincing win over Gateshead.
New signings James Poole and Conor Devlin both started the game and Pools took an early lead through Michael Mackay on 11 minutes.
Former Pools keeper Mark Cook was in goal for Gateshead with former Pools trialist Bakary Bojang also starting the game for the Heed.
Both Mackay and Fabian Yantorno went close at the start of the second half before Mackay doubled Pools lead soon after.
Bojang then pulled a goal back for the visitors when poked home a loose ball but a comeback was not on the cards as substitutes Callum Martin and Callum Hassan grabbed goals to seal a 4-1 win.

This result just shows that we should PLAY MACKAY!
the goals are saying that, but what formation are the rezzy’s playing? i can see him at the top of a wide front 3 as he can’t really play back-to-goal. saying that, Larkin couldn’t do that as long as he’s got a hole in his back end!
Has Bakary Bojang been on trial with everyone?
