It is being reported that Hartlepool United have completed the signing of Sunderland defender Peter Hartley on a free transfer.
Sky Sports report that the 21-year-old has signed for Pools today after securing a move away from the Stadium of Light.
Hartley has been linked repeatedly with Pools but the deal for out-of-contract defender now looks like being completed. He made just one appearance for the Black Cats but impressed during a loan spell at Chesterfield last season.
